As previously reported, the Hawks will open training camp for the 2016-17 season with a media day on Sept. 26 followed by three days of workouts at the University of Georgia on Sept. 27-29. The team officially announced the dates on Tuesday.

The Hawks return to Georgia for the fourth consecutive season, all under head coach Mike Budenholzer. The team did look at other options this year before settling on a return to Athens.

The Hawks will hold two practices on the 27th and 28th and a final workout on the 29th before returning to Atlanta for practices at Philips Arena. None of the workouts are open to the public.

The Hawks open their preseason schedule on Oct. 6 at the Grizzlies. The first home preseason game is Oct. 10 against the Cavaliers.
