A brief recap of the Hawks’ fifth consecutive victory as they beat the Los Angeles Clippers for the sixth time in a row at Philips Arena:

How the game was won: DeMarre Carroll scored 17 of his career-high 25 points in the second half to help Atlanta dig out of a 13-point third-quarter hole as the Hawks beat a Western Conference playoff contender for the third time in four nights.

Al Horford added 20 points, and Kyle Korver (14 points) won a critical jump ball in the final seconds to help seal the win.

Turning point: Atlanta scored the first nine points of the fourth quarter to take a 90-83 lead, and never trailed again. Carroll scored 10 points in the third quarter, when the Hawks trailed by as much as 69-56 before closing 25-14.

Number: 5:35. The Hawks went scoreless for 5:35 in the second quarter, when the Clippers put together a 17-0 run for a 47-40 lead with the help of five Atlanta turnovers in that stretch (and nine in the quarter).

Next: The Hawks will play back-to-back games against the Bucks on Friday at home and Saturday in Milwaukee.
