The Dream made another move to boost its backcourt, acquiring Layshia Clarendon from Indiana on Tuesday in exchange for the rights to its second-round draft choice in 2017.

The team acquired point guard Jordan Jones off waivers Monday and waived guards Ariel Massengale and recent draft pick Niya Johnson.

Clarendon is a 5-foot-9 shooting guard who was the No. 9 pick in the 2013 draft. She appeared in 29 games for Indiana last season, averaing more than 20 minutes per game. She averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists last season. Dream coach Michael Cooper said she also is a solid defender.

The team (0-3 in preseason) will host Los Angeles on tonight at McCamish Pavilion in its final preseason game. It will open its season at San Antonio on Saturday.
