How has the development of the Hawks’ 2013 selections affected the team’s plans in this year’s NBA Draft?

I posed that question to Hawks general manager Danny Ferry last week in a pre-draft interview. Lucas Nogueira played a season in Spain, minus two months off to recover from tendinitis in both knees. Dennis Schroder signed and played most of the season with the Hawks, except for a short D-League stint, but couldn’t hold the backup point guard spot. Mike Muscala started the season in Spain before joining the Hawks for the final months of the season.

Here is the question and answer presented as the final installment of extras from the interview.

Q. How does the development of the players you drafted last year fit into this year's draft plans?

A. We'll take everything into account. These decisions are layered decisions but at the end of the day we have to take a guy we think can play, regardless of anything, and can fit with how we want to live every day, how we want to work every day, how we want to play every day.
