Count Isaia Cordinier in.

The Hawks second-round draft pick from France will play for the team’s entry in the Las Vegas Summer League next month. The 19-year-old guard was selected with the No. 44 overall pick in last week’s NBA Draft.

Cordinier will return to France for at least one more season before a potential run at the NBA.

“The final goal is to play in the NBA and to help the Hawks,” Cordinier said at an introductory press conference Tuesday. “Every story is different. It’s starts now with the summer league and more and more about the Hawks.”

The Hawks will compete in the summer league starting on July 8. Rookies from last year Lamar Patterson and Edy Tavares along with this year’s draftees Taurean Prince, DeAndre’ Bembry and Cordinier and recent signee Matt Costello are scheduled play.

The Hawks team will also include Kevin Pangos (Gonzaga) and Diamon Simpson (St. Mary’s), both of who played in Spain last year, and Darington Hobson (New Mexico), who played in the NBA Development League last year.
