Carroll nearing return

DeMarre Carroll could return to the Hawks lineup as soon as Friday after the starting small forward went through a full practice Wednesday.

Carroll has missed the past four games with a groin strain. The Hawks are 2-2 without Carroll, including two straight losses. Carroll was declared out of Tuesday’s loss to the Lakers a day after going through portions of a practice.
