DeMarre Carroll and Jeff Teague each got one First Team vote in balloting for the NBA’s All-Defensive Teams.

The league announced the First and Second Teams on Wednesday and four Hawks players received votes.

The First Team is comprised of the Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard (242 points, 116 First Team votes), the Warriors forward Draymond Green (229, 107), Grizzlies guard Tony Allen (207, 88), Clippers center DeAndre Jordan (187, 84) and Clippers guard Chris Paul (170, 67).

The Second Team is comprised of Pelicans forward Anthony Davis (155, 47), Bulls guard Jimmy Butler (132, 44), Warriors center Andrew Bogut (102, 33), Wizards guard John Wall (67, 7) and Spurs forward Tim Duncan (64, 5).

For the Hawks, Carroll received 11 points with a First Team vote, Paul Millsap received eight points, Teague received seven points with a First Team vote and Al Horford received one point.

“I’m a defensive guy,” Carroll said earlier this week. “My offense is a plus.

The teams were selected by a panel of 129 sportswriters and broadcasters. Players were awarded two points for each First Team vote and one point for each Second Team vote. Voters were asked to select two guards, two forwards and one center for each team, choosing players at the position they play regularly. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution does not vote on postseason awards as a matter of newspaper policy.
