A brief recap of the Hawks’ loss to the Bucks, who had dropped seven in a row to Atlanta and five consecutively in Philips Arena:

How the game was won: Paul Millsap made all eight of his shots while scoring 18 of his 22 points in the first half, but the rest of the Hawks shot 9-for-30 over the first two quarters and Atlanta never came close to digging out of a 58-42 halftime hole. The Hawks made just 2-of-14 3-point shots in the first half on the way to falling for just the second time in 15 games. Milwaukee, which had lost three of four, was paced by reserve forward Jared Dudley. He made all 10 of his shots, and scored a season-high 24 points. He made all four of his 3-point shots.

Turning point: After Kyle Korver made a 3-pointer to give Atlanta a 15-10 lead, the Hawks missed 12 of 13 3-pointers up to intermission. Dudley made back-to-back shots from beyond the arc for a 21-18 Milwaukee lead with 2:51 remaining in the first quarter, and Atlanta never again led nor tied the game.

Number: 23. The Hawks committed a season-high 23 turnovers.
