Nick Swisher, acquired in trade from Indians, may fill void on Braves' lineup against the Rays in Tampa.

Where: Tropicana Field, Tampa

When: 7:10 p.m.

TV; radio: SPSO; 680, 93.7, 106.7

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Matt Wisler (5-2, 4.85) vs. RH Jake Odorizzi (6-6, 2.77 ERA)

What's new: Entering this series, the Braves were averaging 5.25 runs per game over their previous eight games, which was up from 1.5 runs per game over their previous 10 games. Michael Bourn and Nick Swisher were a combined 2-for-13 in their first two games since arriving in the trade from Cleveland, though one of those hits was a two-run double for Swisher Saturday against the Marlins that put the Braves up 5-2. Swisher is a logical candidate to see some time at DH this series, though with Freddie Freeman still out with the oblique injury, he and Joey Terdoslavich are needed at first base. Nick Markakis is 6-for-14 (.429) with a double, a home run and two RBIs off Odorizzi.
