Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson has only a little more than a full season in the majors on his resume, and the results have been so-so overall.

Carrying the high expectations that come with being the first player taken in an MLB draft, Swanson made quite a splash in his short debut in 2016. Then came the burden placed on him by his team’s hype machine the following offseason. The next season didn’t go so well.

In 2017, Swanson began with a slow start, which led to an up-and-down season, one that included a brief demotion that was supposed to last longer. The results improved after his return, and that sets up an important season for him this year, beginning with this spring training.

Take a look at the above video for a look at how Swanson has fared in the big leagues.
