Rehabbing Braves pitchers Mike Soroka and Luiz Gohara are throwing, but there’s still no timetable for either’s return.

Soroka was stalled through spring with a sore shoulder. Gohara, who battled injuries last season, had his spring derailed by shoulder problems of his own.

The good news: Soroka is pitching in minor-league games. There remains a chance that he will return in late April or early May, but the Braves, as usual, will take the safest approach. Gohara is throwing, but hasn’t been scheduled for game action.

“When they start playing games and get stretched out (we’ll have a timeline),” manager Brian Snitker said. “We’ll start getting the game reports and see how they are.”

When healthy, Soroka is expected to factor into the Braves’ starting options. Gohara is essentially a wild card at this point, with recurring injuries and conditioning issues thus far preventing him from achieving his immense potential.
