Shae Simmons will make one more injury-rehabilitation appearance on Monday for Triple-A Gwinnett. The right-handed reliever will then be re-evaluated as to when he can return from a shoulder strain.

The G-Braves are scheduled to play at Charlotte. Simmons will start the game with a one-inning or 25-pitch limit. The right-handed reliever threw one inning in the G-Braves game at Norfolk Saturday. He allowed one hit and struck out one batter.

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said following Monday’s appearance the team will decide whether Simmons will be activated from the disabled list or whether he needs one or two more appearances.

Gonzalez said he got a “good report” from Simmons’ initial rehab appearance.

Simmons has been on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 27, with the injury. He has appeared in 26 games since being called up from Double-A with a 2.91 ERA and one save in 21.2 innings.
