NEXT: AT PITTSBURGH PIRATES

Friday

Time: 7:05 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Williams Perez (4-0, 2.78 ERA) vs. LH Francisco Liriano (4-6, 3.26)

Comment: Perez gave up four runs, including two homers, to the Mets on Saturday, but he still won. In fact, the Braves have won six of his eight starts since inserting Perez into the rotation. One of the two exceptions was his previous outing against the Pirates, when he gave up four runs and walked five in five innings. This is the Braves' first look at Liriano this season. He has had double-digit strikeouts in three of his past six starts but gave up five runs in 5 2/3 innings his last start against the Nationals.

Saturday

Time: 4:05 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Julio Teheran (5-3, 4.67) vs. RH Charlie Morton (5-1, 3.97)

Comment: Teheran finally pitched like himself Sunday at Turner Field, with seven shutout one-hit innings to claim a 1-0 win over Matt Harvey and the Mets. He's got a challenge, trying to take some momentum on the road. Teheran is 1-3 with a 7.17 ERA in eight road starts this year, compared to 4-0 with a 2.35 ERA at home. The Braves catch Morton on shaky ground. He didn't make it out of the first inning in his last start, giving up nine earned runs including two home runs in 2/3 innings of a 9-2 loss to the Nationals.

Sunday

Time: 1:35 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves LH Alex Wood (4-5, 3.44) vs. LH Jeff Locke (4-3, 4.73)

Comment: Wood has a poor taste in his mouth from the last time he faced the Pirates and Gerrit Cole, when home plate umpire Mark Carlson ejected him for arguing balls and strikes as he walked back to the dugout after the fifth inning. Wood gave up all three of his runs in the fifth after walking Cole on six pitches, after pitching inside to him once in retaliation for Freddie Freeman and Andrelton Simmons being hit. The Braves got their only win in that three-game series in the start by Locke after Christian Bethancourt hit a walk-off homer in the ninth for a 5-4 win.
