Friday

Time: 7:35 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Williams Perez (4-4, 4.76 ERA) vs. RH Masahiro Tanaka (9-6, 3.61)

Comment: It's the rookie Perez against the $155 million import for the Yankees. Tanaka, 26, has given up three or fewer runs in eight of his past nine starts while pitching at least six innings in all of them. In that time, he is 6-3 with a 3.38 ERA. Perez, meanwhile, has gone just 0-4 with a 7.98 ERA in five starts since returning from the disabled list with a bruised foot. He has just one quality start in that time, when he pitched eight innings of a complete game, allowing two runs in a 2-0 loss in Tampa.

Saturday

Time: 7:10 p.m.

TV: FS1

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Matt Wisler (5-4, 5.43) vs. RHP Luis Severino (1-2, 2.74)

Comment: Wisler hasn't lasted six full innings since July 26 and has taxed the Braves bullpen by pitching only 22 2/3 innings over his past five starts. His last three have been on the road, including his seven-run outing at Wrigley Field when he failed to make it out of the third inning. Wisler is 3-0 with a 3.65 ERA in four starts at Turner Field, compared to 2-4 with a 6.53 ERA on the road. Severino, 21, has made four starts since the Yankees called him up from Triple-A after Michael Pineda strained his forearm. He has allowed just seven earned runs in 23 innings, walked eight and struck out 24.

Sunday

Time: 1:35 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Julio Teheran (9-6, 4.29) vs. RH Nathan Eovaldi (13-2, 4.00 ERA)

Comment: The Braves have won four of Teheran's five starts this month, while he's gone 3-0 with a 2.73 ERA. This is his first time facing the Yankees, though he'll be pitching to his old battery mate Brian McCann. The Braves know Eovaldi well from his time with the Marlins, not that it figures to help them much. The hard-throwing right-hander is 2-3 with a 2.42 ERA in 12 career starts against the Braves. He held them to one or fewer earned runs in seven of those starts. The Braves faced him six times in 2014, the last on Sept. 6 when they managed three runs in 6 1/3 innings against him.
