NEXT: AT GIANTS

Thursday

Time: 10:15 p.m.

TV: SPSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Shelby Miller (5-1, 1.50 ERA) vs. RH Chris Heston (4-3, 4.33)

Comment: Miller has allowed two earned runs or fewer in his first nine straight starts as a Brave. He's pitched two shutouts this month, including his no-hit bid for the first 26 outs against the Marlins on May 17. Miller is making a commanding case for NL pitcher of the month at 2-0 with an 0.87 ERA in his first four starts in May. He'll face the rookie right-hander out of East Carolina who is making just his 11th major league start. Heston just gave up 11 runs in 7 2/3 innings combined at Coors Field and Great American Ballpark — two notoriously offensive ballparks — but he pitched a complete game to beat the Astros 8-1 at Minute Maid Park, another hitter-friendly park, on May 12.

Friday

Time: 10:15 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Mike Foltynewicz (3-1, 4.25) vs. RH Tim Hudson (2-4, 5.04)

Comment: This matchup provides a little of the new and old Braves' flavor: "Folty" vs. "Huddy." Foltynewicz is coming off his best start among the first five of his major league career, when he held the Brewers to one run in 7 2/3 innings and struck out seven. He'll face the 39-year-old former Brave who has said he's leaning toward retiring at the end of the season. The Braves didn't face Hudson in his first year with the Giants last year. Hudson, who pitched with the Braves from 2005-2013, has faced his old teammates just once in 2003 with Oakland, allowing only two runs in eight innings of a no-decision.

Saturday

Time: 10:05 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Williams Perez (0-0, 4.05) vs. RH Tim Lincecum (5-2, 2.56)

Comment: Perez is still winless in his first two major league starts but he hasn't pitched like it, giving up just one earned run in each start against the Rays and Dodgers. He's walked just two and struck out 14. Lincecum might not be as dominant as he once was, but he's pitching well again. He is 4-0 with a 2.05 ERA in five starts this month after going 1-2 with a 3.27 ERA in April. He's been dominant at AT&T Park too, going 4-1 with a 1.13 ERA compared to 1-1 with a 4.79 ERA on the road.

Sunday

Time: 4:05 p.m.

TV: FSSO

Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Julio Teheran (2-2, 3.83) vs. LH Madison Bumgarner (5-1, 1.48)

Comment: Last time out, Teheran faced reigning NL Cy Young award winner Clayton Kershaw. This time, it's the reigning World Series MVP. Just pitching consistently has been a tough enough assignment of late for Teheran, who gave up a career-high eight runs in 4 1/3 innings his last time out in Dodger Stadium. Since the Giants lost back-to-back Bumgarner starts in mid-April, he has gone 5-1 with a 2.15 ERA over his past seven starts.
