NEXT: AT LOS ANGELES DODGERS
Monday
Time: 8:10 p.m.
TV: SPSO
Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Williams Perez (0-0, 6.14 ERA) vs. LH Brett Anderson (2-2, 3.61)
Comment: The rookie Perez makes his second major league start, after going five innings and allowing just one run, walking one and striking out seven in a 2-1 win over Tampa in his starting debut. The 24-year-old Venezuelan converted a key 3-6-1 double play to preserve a 1-1 score. Anderson was 1-1 with a 5.49 ERA in four starts in April but in four starts so far in May, he's 1-1 with a 1.99 ERA.
Tuesday
Time: 10:10 p.m.
TV: SPSO
Probable starting pitchers: Braves RH Julio Teheran (4-1, 3.91) vs. LH Clayton Kershaw (2-3, 4.32)
Comment: The Braves are gunning for a fourth win in Teheran's past five starts. He's pitched in Dodger Stadium twice – once getting shelled for six runs in 2 2/3 innings in the 2013 Division Series and last year when he gave up only two runs in eight innings. Kershaw's ERA as high as it's been since his rookie season in 2008 (4.26 ERA). He's still striking out 11.26 batters per nine innings but batters are hitting .346 (18-for-52) against him with runners in scoring position and .364 (8-for-22) with runners in scoring position and two outs.
Wednesday
Time: 10:10 p.m.
TV: SPSO
Probable starting pitchers: Braves LH Alex Wood (2-2, 3.83) vs. RH Zack Greinke (5-1, 1.48)
Comment: Wood was scratched from his last start Friday against the Brewers with a stomach virus. He's pitching for the first time since he beat the Marlins in Miami on May 16. He'll face one of the hottest pitchers in the majors. Only the Pirates' A.J. Burnett (1.37) has a better ERA than Greinke. He's allowed one or no earned runs in seven of his nine starts this season and just three runs in the other two.
