What's new: Freddie Freeman has picked up where Chipper Jones left off in terms of harassing the Mets. He hit .333 (24-for-72) in 19 games against them last year with nine doubles and a homer. For his career, Freeman was hitting .313 against the Mets with 13 home runs — his most against any opponent. Entering the weekend series, the Braves ranked only 27th in the major leagues with 18 strikeouts — a category they finished fourth in last year with 1,369 strikeouts. Interestingly, the two current leaders in strikeouts were teams the Braves traded players to over the winter — the San Diego Padres (the Upton brothers, Craig Kimbrel) and the Astros (Evan Gattis). Teheran is gunning for his second consecutive win and his first 2-0 start to a big league season.
