Former NFL quarterback-turned-baseball player Tim Tebow left an Arizona Fall League game with an apparent leg injury.

The New York Mets minor leaguer was injured attempting a slide, mlb.com reported.

Tebow, who is hitting .147 (5-for-34) in 10 games, had reached on a fielder's choice. According to mlb.com, the injury occured as Tebow reached second base during a steal attempt:

He was thrown out by Orioles catcher Austin Wynns and slid awkwardly into second base. Tebow popped up holding his right leg, below the knee. He walked off on his own gingerly and was replaced in left field by the Phillies' Aaron Brown.

The Mets confirmed Tebow's injury, calling it minor. The team said he would be evaluated further.

Last week, Braves pitching prospect Chris Ellis allowed a hit to Tebow, who stole a base, too.
