Although Taylor Trammell was a two-sport athlete at Mount Paran Christian School, it looks like his future lies on the baseball diamond.

The Cincinnati Reds drafted Trammell with the 35th overall selection in the 2016 MLB draft. The Powder Springs native is fresh off a commendable 2016 season in which he hit .463 with nine home runs and seven doubles. He also posted a perfect 29-for-29 mark in stolen bases.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Trammell did comparable damage on the football field. He rushed for 2,500 yards and 38 touchdowns in his senior season and was named the Class A Offensive Player of the Year.

Trammell had signed to play baseball at Georgia Tech prior to his selection.
