How the winning run scored: With one out in the top of the first inning, Rochester's Oswaldo Arcia singled and drove home Antoan Richardson with the game's first run. The Red Wings scored seven runs in the inning, and their lead held Friday night in a resounding victory over host Gwinnett.

At the plate: Red Wings first baseman Jeff Clement was 4-for-4 with two homers and four RBIs. The G-Braves managed six hits, all singles. Tyler Pastornicky was 2-for-4 and extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Yohan Flande (3-5) failed to make it out of the first. He allowed seven runs on seven hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (26-37) begin a series against Columbus at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville. Atlanta Braves right-hander Brandon Beachy is scheduled to continue his rehab from Tommy John surgery by starting for Gwinnett.
