How the game was won: Turner Field showered Melvin Upton Jr. with boos as he entered the game to pinch run at second in the top of the ninth. He'd have the last laugh, though, as two batters later he scored the tying run on a Cory Spangenberg sacrifice fly. Jason Grilli picked up the blown save as the Braves bullpen blew another lead.

Shelby Miller left after seven innings with a 3-1 lead. He allowed five hits and had six strikeouts, and he pitched well enough to earn a win.

The Padres rallied for two runs off Cody Martin and Luis Avilan in the top of the 11th.

Number: 13. The number of hits Maybin has in 24 at-bats in June. He now has five straight multiple-hit games.

What's next: Atlanta looks to bounce back against a tough pitcher tomorrow. Mike Foltynewicz (3-2, 4.29 ERA) will take the mound against Padres ace James Shields (7-0, 3.58 ERA). First pitch is at 7:10.
