Ozzie Albies, the Atlanta Braves’ third-ranked prospect, hit his first Triple-A home run Tuesday in the Gwinnett Braves' 9-3 loss to Rochester in New York.

Albies, 19, struggled when first promoted to Gwinnett from  Double-A Mississippi 10 games ago. He went hitless in hist first two starts.

Since May 2, Albies is batting .231 with 9 hits, 4 RBIs and a .615 OPS from the leadoff spot.

Albies’ lone hit Tuesday was his home run deep to left field off Rochester starter Tommy Milone in the third inning. The hit gave the G-Braves a brief 1-0 lead. The Red Wings scored six runs in the bottom of the inning and Gwinnett never recovered.

Gwinnett is in a first-place tie in the International League South Division.
