How the game was won: Jace Peterson had a three-run homer as the Braves built an 8-3 lead through 3 1/2 innings, but starter Mike Foltynewicz and relievers Brandon Cunniff and Luis Avilian all pitched poorly as the Mets stormed back for a 10-8 win Sunday afternoon at Citi Field. Foltynewicz gave up six runs (five earned) and two homers in 4 1/3 innings, and Cunniff and Avilan each gave up a multi-run homer.

Number: 4. Losses for the Braves this season in 11 games when they scored eight or more runs. They had only had one such loss in 104 games over the previous four seasons.

What's next: The Braves finish a five-game trip with a two-game series at Boston. Rookie Williams Perez (2-0, 2.78) is scheduled to face Red Sox right-hander Rick Porcello (4-6, 5.26) in Monday night's series opener.
