Braves utilityman Johan Camargo left Wednesday’s game in the fourth inning after fouling a pitch off his right shin.

Camargo, who was on crutches after the game, met with team doctors Thursday afternoon, but the Braves hadn’t received an update when manager Brian Snitker met with the media before the team’s game against the Phillies.

“Still waiting to find out,” Snitker said. “He’s still sore. He’s at the doctor right now. We don’t have anything definitive. They were doing the tests and everything, but it was still sore to walk on. That’s not good. But I guess if the tests are clean, it’ll just be a day-to-day thing.”

The Braves avoided the worst-case scenario, shifting the question to how this may impact Camargo by October, if at all.
