How the winning run scored: Back to back singles to open the home fourth followed by a a sacrifice bunt put Indians on second and third with one out, with Indianapolis up 1-0. A third single after a strikeout gave the Indians a 3-0 lead, which they never surrendered.
At the Plate: Luis Nunez opened the eight inning with his first homer of the season. Matt Pagnozzi, the next batter took first after being hit by a pitch. He went to third on Joey Terdoslavic's minor league leading 13th double of the season and closed out the Braves scoring on a sacrifice fly by Corey Wimberly. The Braves were held to five hits, including a triple by Jose Constanza, to continue his 11 game hitting streak, and two singles by Todd Kazmar.
On the mound: Starter Tim Corcoran (1-2) took the loss. He gave up three runs on six hits, with three strikeouts and three walks in five innings. Dusty Hughes and Ramon Colon each gave up an unearned run in one and two innings pitched respectively. The Braves committed four errors.
What's next for the G-Braves: Braves (12-13) will face the Indians (18-7) twice more, including an 11:05 p.m. start Tuesday before an off day Wednesday. Braves begin an eight game home stand Thursday with a 6:05 start in the first of four games against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, followed by four more against the Pawtucket Red Sox. Catcher Brian McCann, who is scheduled to join the Atlanta Braves in a little more than a week is expected to join Gwinnett Tuesday to continue his rehab stint after shoulder surgery in October. He is scheduled to catch for the Rome Braves Monday in his third appearance with them.
