Williams Perez pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing just a hit and a walk while striking out seven to lead the Gwinnett Braves to a 4-0 home win over the Charlotte Knights on Friday night at Coolray Field.
Perez (1-2) threw 112 pitches, 76 for strikes. He had been 0-2 with a 6.10 ERA over his first two starts since being optioned to Triple-A by Atlanta on April 20.
Outfielder Ender Inciarte played for Gwinnett in the last game of his injury rehab assignment for the Braves and finished 2-for-3 with a walk. He is expected to rejoin the major-league club before Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

Infielder Gordon Beckham, playing the first game of his rehab assignment, went 0-for-4.

Top prospect Ozzie Albies was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the G-Braves.
