A weekly update on former Braves players around the majors:

Brian McCann, C

New York Yankees

McCann is still struggling, hitting .226 through Wednesday. He did, however, stroke a rare opposite-field double to drive in three runs on June 6.

Tim Hudson, P

San Francisco Giants

Hudson is 7-2 and has a major league-best 1.81 ERA. He’s allowed two or fewer runs in 10 of 13 starts. The Giants are 7-0 in games he has started at home.

Martin Prado, 3B

Arizona Diamondbacks

He hit .296 in the past week and has boosted his average to .277 through Wednesday. Prado still only has two homers this season after hitting 14 in 2013.

Mark Teixeira, 1B

New York Yankees

Teixeira (.240) hit his 11th homer Wednesday in Seattle. It was his 17th career HR at Safeco Field, tying Rafael Palmeiro for the most by an opposing player.

Adam LaRoche, 1B

Washington Nationals

He had five RBIs in the past week and has 33 this season (including eight homers). LaRoche’s average has dropped slightly but he’s still batting. 310.

Omar Infante, 2B

Kansas City Royals

The infielder continues to slump, hitting a dismal .130 in the past week. Infante’s average is down to .232, his lowest in a season since 2005.

Rafael Soriano, P

Washington Nationals

He has 13 saves and a 1.44 ERA. After Soriano wasn’t needed in one win, teammate Jayson Werth said, “We could put the big, scary guy back in his cage and save him.”

Kyle Farnsworth, P

Houston Astros

Farnsworth has a 5.63 ERA in 11 games for Houston. He had harsh words for the Mets after they cut him, but he may not be around when the teams play in September.

Juan Francisco, 3B

Toronto Blue Jays

He has 10 homers this season but he’s hitless in his past 15 at-bats through Wednesday. Since his average topped out at .311 in May, Francisco has hit .184.
