Former Braves and Parkview High star Jeff Francoeur makes his debut as an analyst on Fox Sports Southeast on Monday night when the Braves host the Phillies.

At 33 years old, Francoeur quietly retired from baseball this past offseason after not seeing significant interest from teams to sign him for 2017. Fox Sports Southeast has announced he’ll be a pregame and postgame analyst on select broadcasts, with the possibility of working up to an announcer role in future games.

In 2016, Francoeur batted .254 with 7 home runs and 34 RBI in 307 at-bats between the Florida Marlins and Braves. He finished his 12-year career with a batting average of .261 and 160 home runs during stints with eight different teams. He was third in the Rookie of the Year voting in 2005, and won a Gold Glove in 2007, both seasons as a Brave.
