Dish Network customers in the Atlanta metropolitan area will not get the Braves’ Friday night series opener against Washington, nor most other weekend Braves games in June unless there’s a change.
Unlike other cable and satellite television providers in the Atlanta metro area, Dish has not agreed to terms with Fox Sports South on additional fees for the 45 games the network added from Peachtree TV in February.
On its “Dish Answers” Twitter page, this was a response to a Braves fan and Dish customer who complained on about not getting some Braves games: “We continue to work with Fox Sports South to come up with an agreement for those additional games.”
Fox Sports South said in a news release: “Dish’s response to its customers that it’s doing all it can to resolve the situation is simply not true. While Fox Sports South has been able to reach agreement with every other television provider in the metro Atlanta area, Dish has not even engaged in any kind of a negotiation with respect to these additional Braves games.”
