The only other nine-RBI game in Cleveland history was by Chris James in a 20-6 victory over Oakland on May 4, 1991. “I know a day like today is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing,” said Chisenhall. “I’m enjoying it as much as I can. I don’t know the history of it, who’s done it in the past.” Major League Baseball said it was the first time a player went 5 for 5 with three homers and nine RBIs, since the RBI became a statistic in 1920.
