Castro returns from Triple-A, d’Arnaud slowed by foot issue

The Braves added utility infielder Daniel Castro to their expanded September roster Friday, bringing him up from Triple-A Gwinnett.

They needed some infield depth since Chase d’Arnaud is limited to pinch-hitting for now due to a painful plantar wart on his foot. Braves interim manager Brian Snitker said d’Arnaud had been able to play through the condition until it worsened recently.
