The Braves hope power-hitting outfielder Matt Kemp’s arrival in Atlanta will help sell some tickets.

The team sent an email blast to fans this morning promoting a “Welcome to Atlanta! Matt Kemp 2-Day Flash Sale.”

The offer: “In honor of #27, buy 2 outfield tickets for $7” for the Braves-Pirates series tonight through Thursday at Turner Field.

Kemp, who wears number 27, was acquired in a trade with San Diego over the weekend and is scheduled to make his Braves debut tonight.

The ticket offer, available with promo code KEMP at www.braves.com/tickets, expires at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.

The Braves, who have the worst record in the majors, need all the help they can get at the gate. They rank 25th among the 30 MLB teams in home attendance this season, drawing an announced average of 23,200 per game.
