Braves' opponent: New York Mets

Keep an eye on: The Mets roster. Since the Braves last saw the Mets in April, David Wright was placed on the disabled list and diagnosed with spinal stenosis. Daniel Murphy went on the DL with a quadriceps strain. Catcher Kevin Plawecki has been sidelined lately by recurring dizziness. The Mets did activate second baseman Dilson Herrera from the DL Thursday, as well as former closer Bobby Parnell. But the Parnell move was largely procedural because his 30-day minor league rehab assignment had expired. Parnell had an 11.57 ERA on his rehab assignment as he attempts his comeback from 2014 Tommy John surgery.

Who's hot: Juan Lagares was 10-for-24 (.417) with two doubles, a triple and a home run in his previous seven games entering Thursday.

Who's not: Lucas Duda was 2-for-20 with eight strikeouts in his past seven games entering Thursday.

Braves connection: Former Braves first round pick Sean Gilmartin has gone scoreless over his past six appearances out of the Mets' bullpen dating back to May 24. He's appeared in four games against the Braves this season, allowing one hit and two walks but no runs. Former Brave Buddy Carlyle is on the DL with a lower back injury.

In the news: The Mets were a victim of a no-hitter by Giants rookie Chris Heston on Tuesday night in the 13th start of his major league career. That gave Heston the same number of no-hitters as the Mets organization – one. Dillon Gee, now a reliever, was placed on the bereavement list Thursday following the death of his grandmother and infielder Ruben Tejada was granted paternity leave.
