Braves starters shine on road trip with 0.63 ERA

The Braves completed a 5-2 road trip to Pittsburgh and Miami with a 4-0 win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Over those games, Braves starters have a 0.63 ERA, allowing just three earned runs over 42.2 innings. They allowed 18 hits and 14 walks with 38 strikeouts. The starters did not allow a home run.

The Braves begin a nine-game homestand on Tuesday against the Rays, Cubs, Pirates and Red Sox.

Here’s a look at how the starters fared on the just-completed trip:

Aug. 20 at Pirates: Bryse Wilson (W), 5 innings, 3 hits, 0 runs, 0 earned runs, 3 walks, 5 strikeouts

Aug. 21 at Pirates: Kevin Gausman (W), 8 innings, 4 hits, 0 runs, 0 earned runs, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts

Aug. 22 at Pirates: Julio Teheran (W), 7 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 1 earned run, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts

Aug. 23 at Marlins: Sean Newcomb (W), 6 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 0 earned runs, 3 walks, 8 strikeouts

Aug. 24 at Marlins: Mike Foltynewicz (L), 6 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 1 earned run, 2 walks, 8 strikeouts

Aug. 25 at Marlins: Anibal Sanchez (L), 5.2 innings, 4 hits, 1 run, 1 earned runs, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts

Aug. 26 at Marlins: Kevin Gausman (W), 5 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 0 earned runs, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts
