Braves fans will have to board the MARTA shuttle to the game at a different location on Saturday because of road closures for two Atlanta Caribbean Carnival parades.
On Saturday only, MARTA shuttles will begin their pregame Braves service at 1:30 p.m. at the West End station rather than at Five Points Station/Underground. Fans will board buses to Turner Field on Lee Street.
Rail customers heading to the game should walk toward the front of the West End station before exiting and boarding a MARTA shuttle bus. Frequent announcements will be made on trains to inform fans of the temporary change to the shuttle schedule. MARTA customer service agents will also be on hand to help.
After the start of the seventh inning, the shuttle will resume regular service to the Five Points Station/Underground for game-goers who are headed home.
Saturday’s parades will also affect bus routes in the downtown Atlanta area. Throughout the day, route 186 will be re-routed to Georgia State Station instead of Five Points and the route 110 will only operate between Arts Center and Lenox stations.
Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, routes 74 and 32 will only operate from King Memorial Station. Both routes will resume their normal operation out of the Five Points Station after 4 p.m.
Routes 1 and 51 will operate from Vine City Station instead of Five Points.
