How the winning run scored: With two outs in the ninth inning, a double by Todd Cunningham drove home Jose Constanza and gave Gwinnett a 5-1 lead over host Pawtucket on Thursday night.

At the plate: Cunningham was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. He hit a double in addition to his home run. Tyler Pastornicky was 3-for-5 and drove in a run, and Joey Terdoslavich was 1-for-2 (a double) and walked three times.

On the mound: G-Braves starter Omar Poveda (3-2) allowed one run on seven hits in eight innings. Reliever Wirfin Obispo allowed three runs on two hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning. Cory Rasmus then entered the game and threw two pitches to record the final out.

Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (16-26) and the Red Sox (24-17) complete their four-game series in Pawtucket, R.I., at 7:05 p.m. Friday. Gwinnett left-hander Daniel Rodriguez (2-3, 6.82 ERA) and Pawtucket righty Alfredo Aceves (2-1, 3.50) are scheduled to start.
