Braves prospect Aaron Blair gave up seven runs and 10 hits in five innings as the host Gwinnett Braves lost to the Norfolk Tides 7-0 Monday night in Triple-A baseball in Lawrenceville.

Blair (3-2) struck out six, walked two and had three wild pitches. Bradley Roney (two innings), Maikel Cleto (one inning) and Jose Ramirez (one inning) held Norfolk scoreless but the Braves fell to 37-48.

A season-high 9,682 fans attended the Independence Day game.

Gwinnett managed to get runners on base in each of the first five innings against Tides starter David Hale, but couldn’t get on the board. Hale, a former G-Brave, allowed two hits and a walk in 3 2/3 innings in his first start back from a stint on the disabled list.
