The Braves’ decisions to reassign Ronald Acuna to minor league camp and place third baseman Johan Camargo on the 10-day disabled list to start the season have brought some clarity to the remaining position-player roster moves.

Barring a late trade or waiver claim, the Braves look set on Rio Ruiz opening at third base to begin the season, with Lane Adams, Preston Tucker and Ezequiel Carrera splitting left-field and backup outfielder duties (until Acuna arrives to take over in left) and Charlie Culberson and Danny Santana as utility men. They would join seven incumbent starters: infielders Freddie Freeman, Ozzie Albies and Dansby Swanson, outfielders Ender Inciarte and Nick Markakis and catchers Tyler Flowers and Kurt Suzuki.

The only potential deviation from that might be if the Braves decide to carry Chris Stewart as a third catcher to begin the season, in which case they would presumably drop one of the extra outfielders.
