How the game was won: Christian Bethancourt swung at the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the ninth and sliced a walk-off homer down the right-field line. Jason Grilli pitched for the first time in 11 games in the top of the ninth, getting through Pittsburgh's three-four-five hitters with six pitches.

Number: 5. The number of strikeouts Julio Teheran had in a bounce-back start for him. He looked more like the Teheran from the last few years, allowing five hits and four earned runs (two of those runs came in with Jim Johnson on the mound) in 7 1/3 innings. He didn't walk anybody, and he had struck out only one hitter in his previous two starts.

What's next: With a win tomorrow the Braves would earn their first series victory since they took three of four against the Brewers May 21-24. Atlanta lefty Alex Wood (4-2, 3.19 ERA) faces Pittsburgh ace Gerrit Cole (8-2, 1.90 ERA).
