Following a 68–93 finish in 2016, expectations for this season’s Atlanta Braves weren’t over the moon.

Before the start of spring training oddsmakers in Vegas gave Atlanta 150-to-1 odds of reaching and winning the World Series. (The reigning champion Chicago Cubs are enlisted to repeat with 6-to-1 odds.)

On a positive note, the Braves were projected to increase their win total to 71 games as they transitioned from Turner Field to the new SunTrust Park.

With spring training almost out of the way and the start of the 2017 season almost upon us, oddsmakers have revised their season projections and ... things still don’t look good for the Braves.

Braves’ odds to end their 22-year championship drought now stand at 171-to-1.

Atlanta’s over/under win total, however, stands at 75 games.

Of course, the numbers mean nothing to the Braves, who believe they can contend in 2017.
