How the winning run scored: Brandon Boggs' two-out single to left drove home Tyler Pastornicky and gave the Gwinnett Braves a 3-1 lead over the Toledo Mud Hens on Saturday night at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.
At the plate: Left-fielder Joey Terdoslavich and third baseman Joe Leonard each was 3-for-4 for the G-Braves. One of Terdoslavich's hits was his 20th double of the season. Stefan Gartrell was 2-for-3 (one run scored) and Pastornicky was 2-for-4 (two runs). Jordan Lennerton of Toledo had the game's only home run, a solo shot in the sixth off Sean Gilmartin.
On the mound: G-Braves starter Gilmartin (3-3) gave up two runs on seven hits in 6 1/3 innings. He struck out seven.
Up next for Gwinnett: The G-Braves (20-30) and Mud Hens (15-35) complete their series at 2:05 p.m. Sunday. Gwinnett right-hander Tim Corcoran (2-3, 3.64 ERA) is scheduled to start against righty Derek Hankins (1-2, 2.84).
