Braves minor leaguer gets 72-game PED suspension

Braves minor league pitcher Madinson Colon was suspended 72 games without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance. The suspension was announced Friday by the baseball commissioner’s office.

Colon, 19, is on the Dominican Summer League rookie-ball roster. The right-hander was 0-3 with an 18.41 ERA in eight relief appearances, allowing nine hits, 15 earned runs and 16 walks with four strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings.
