How the game was won: Julio Teheran needed just 23 batters to get through seven innings, striking out five and giving up one hit. He probably could have lasted the entire game, but Fredi Gonzalez had Pedro Ciriaco pinch hit for him in the bottom of the seventh. Turned out to be the right move — Ciriaco singled up the middle to score Ryan Lavarnway, who'd hit a two-out double, for the game's only run.

Nick Masset, Dana Eveland, and Jim Johnson pitched two shutout innings to secure the sweep.

Number: 5. The number of wins the Braves have in their last seven games. Record-wise, this is their best seven-game stretch since they won five of seven May 15-22.

What's next: The Braves get a travel day before opening a three-game series in Washington against the division-leading Nationals on Tuesday. Atlanta could jump above .500 for the first time since it was 26-25 in Phoenix on June 1. Probable pitchers are Alex Wood (4-4, 3.40 ERA) and Jordan Zimmerman (5-5, 3.75 ERA).
