The Braves’ scheduled home game against the Mets on Saturday night was postponed because of rain and will be made up at a date to be determined.

The rainout affects the pitching matchup for Sunday’s series finale between the teams. The Braves will stay with Tim Hudson, as planned, while the Mets pushed back ace Matt Harvey from Sunday. They’ll instead start left-hander Jonathan Niese, who was scheduled to pitch Saturday.

The Braves will skip the turn of rookie Julio Teheran, who was scheduled to start Saturday. The teams will play at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, before the Braves leave for a 10-game trip that starts Monday in Cincinnati.

This was the 17th rainout in the 16-year history of Turner Field. Fans who purchased tickets can use them for the makeup game or exchange them for tickets to any remaining regular-season home game, subject to availability. Exchanges can be made at the Turner Field ticket office during business hours, or by mail (check braves.com/rainout for details). Exchanges must be completed before the rescheduled game.
