After months of internal (and external) debate, the Braves officially picked up the option of manager Brian Snitker on Thursday.
It will mark Snitker’s 42nd year in the Braves organization. Current and former Braves went to bat for Snitker, who’s highly regarded as a players’ manager.
However, not everybody was thrilled. The decision has been met with mixed reviews.
If the Braves are really serious about winning, Snitker should grow his mustache out again. That’s 10+ wins easy right there

I’m just tired of the ownership group. They do not care about the Braves. They just want to make money!!!!!!

Congrats, Snit! Snit’s the kind of manager/leader I would have been excited/motivated to play for. @Braves

If you're content with having the worst strategic manager I baseball because the players like him, then be my guest

Arthur Blank needs to buy the braves so he can clean up this mess

Snicker is the Braves way like it or not. We need a culture change and hopefully the new GM will provide that

I have "0" hope for the #Braves in 2018 and any other year that Brian Snitker is the manager.

This is one of the worst possible outcomes from the scandal.... Pathetic move #Braves https://t.co/enE6G7ATkM

Ultimately, I'm a Braves fan until the day I die. I've been here through heartbreak & I'll be here the day we get the gift of a WS win
