How the game was won: Jace Peterson and Cameron Maybin had consecutive two-out RBI triples in the third inning to give the Braves a 2-0 lead, and Julio Teheran pitched six strong innings in a 3-2 win against the Diamondbacks at Turner Field. Teheran (8-6) allowed three hits hits, one run and two walks with seven strikeouts in six innings to continue his home success, and Maybin added a run-scoring single in the fifth inning that pushed the lead to 3-0 and chased Arizona left-hander Robbie Ray from the game.

Number: 6-1 and 2.44. Teheran's record and ERA in 12 home starts. He's 2-5 with a 6.75 ERA in 12 road starts.

What's next: The Braves and Diamondbacks play the second game of their three-game series Saturday at 7:10 p.m., with rookie Mike Foltynewicz (4-3, 5.23 ERA) to face Diamondbacks lefty Patrick Corbin (2-3, 4.08).
