The Atlanta Braves plan to announce Tuesday a deal with Omni Hotels and Resorts on a hotel in the mixed-use development adjacent to the team’s new Cobb County stadium, people familiar with the situation told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Braves declined to comment other than to say a “major announcement related to the SunTrust Park mixed-use development” will be made at 11 a.m. Tuesday in an office building overlooking the stadium site.

Omni would be the fourth major corporation associated with the Braves’ project, following SunTrust Banks (which has the naming-rights deal on the stadium), Comcast (which plans an office building adjacent to the stadium) and Delta Air Lines (a major stadium sponsor).
