The Braves acquired catcher Anthony Recker Monday from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for cash considerations, the teams announced Monday.

Recker, 32, was hitting .246 with two home runs and 10 RBIs in 19 games for Triple-A Columbus.

Recker spent three of his five major league seasons with the New York Mets. He also played for the Chicago Cubs and Oakland A’s.

He was assigned to Triple-A Gwinnett, where the Braves have catchers Blake Lalli, Ryan Lavarnway and Braeden Schlehuber on the roster.
