Acuna gets first hit in rehab stint

Ronald Acuna when 1-for-4 with a strikeout and a walk for the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers in a rehab assignment on Sunday. The Columbus Clippers defeated the Stripers, 7-5, in 10 innings at CoolRay Field in Lawrenceville. Acuna was replaced in left field to start the 10th inning.

Acuna singled to center in the second inning for his first hit of his rehab stint.

Acuna also played in the first two games of the series and was a combined 0-fo-6.

Braves manager Brian Snitker said on Sunday that Acuna, their top prospect, would play at least one more game with Gwinnett on Monday.

Acuna went on the disabled list May 28 after sustaining a sprained knee ligament and knee and back contusions while running to first base in Boston.
