Atlanta United striker Josef Martinez and fullback Ronald Hernandez were named to Venezuela’s squad for the Copa America.

The team was announced Thursday.

Venezuela will open the tournament against Brazil on June 13. It also is scheduled to play Colombia on June 17 and Ecuador on June 20 and Peru on June 27. The quarterfinals begin July 2.

Atlanta United is scheduled to host Philadelphia on June 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, to play at NYCFC on June 23, to host the Red Bulls on June 27 and play at Chicago on July 3. The team currently ranks eighth in the East with 10 points. It is one point out of the seventh and final playoff spot in the East.

Martinez has two goals in seven matches for Atlanta United this season. He appears to be fully recovered from the knee injury he sustained last season. Martinez has appeared for Venezuela 53 times, with 11 goals scored.

Hernandez has yet to play for the club this season. He has 17 appearances for Venezuela.

Atlanta United’s other strikers are Erick Torres, Erik Lopez, who has been used mostly as a winger this season, and Jackson Conway.
